Public evidence assessedReviewed August 31, 2026

Bottom line

SENSORA has meaningful prospective and external evidence for individual functions, especially low-ejection-fraction screening. The platform should be assessed algorithm by algorithm because performance, predictive value, signal quality, and referral consequences differ by configuration and setting.

Based on public sources. RIR did not independently test this product. This is not an endorsement or recommendation.

What the evidence supports

Reviewed sources establish a regulated AI platform for specified heart sound and ECG findings using compatible Eko devices.

What remains uncertain

Current algorithm performance by device, operator, population, and care pathway requires configuration-specific review.

How it was studied

SENSORA combines separately cleared algorithms for defined findings. The low-ejection-fraction function has prospective and multicenter observational evidence against echocardiography, including a four-network study of 2,960 adults. Murmur software has also undergone external evaluation against echocardiography.

Intended use
Support detection of defined cardiac findings from compatible Eko digital stethoscope recordings with professional review.
Represented version
SENSORA platform with supported Eko devices and cleared algorithms
Regulatory context
Eko lists separate FDA clearances for its murmur, rhythm, and low-ejection-fraction software. Scope depends on the enabled device and algorithm.

Evidence source base

Published studies include both developer-affiliated and independent external evaluations, plus separate regulatory records for each function.

Important limitation

Evidence for one algorithm or device configuration cannot be generalized to every SENSORA function. Positive predictive value, signal quality, operator effects, and referral consequences vary by setting and prevalence.

Questions to ask

  1. 01Which cleared algorithms are enabled for each user?
  2. 02How does capture quality affect the result?
  3. 03What professional review is required before clinical use?
